Before anything else, I have to say that I’m glad you’re here.
I may not know who you are or where you’re from, but I know that we have something important in common, a love of the natural world.
I started making moss art as a hobby during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, long before the term biophilic design entered my vocabulary. I was in search of ways to bring life and color back into my world. The solution, unexpectedly, was moss art.
The main premise of biophilic design is to reintegrate the benefits of nature into our built world. Humans weren’t meant to spend their lives in gray boxes. It’s f*cking depressing.
So I thought, can I make a tiny change to earth by reconnecting people to nature? Can I put my own, and sometimes weird, little take on it? I decided to give it a try.
Mountain Mossery is way for me to share my love of the natural world and make its benefits accessible to our everyday lives.
I hope you find something comforting, inspiring, or maybe even provocative here.
Cheers- Lindsay
