FAQs
General Moss Curiosity
Is the Moss Alive?
Nope! Although it used to be alive, it has been preserved so that it stays lush and vibrant.
Why Moss?
Moss oxygenated our planet. It is 300 million years old. It can rise from the dead (pretty much). Preserved moss is long lasting, beautiful, and requires none of the fuss of living plants.
Where Does the Moss Come From?
I source the moss from several vendors depending on need and availability. I go to sustainable sources who use eco-friendly preservation techniques.

How Do I Care for My Moss Art?
Hang it up and enjoy it! No watering required. Avoid direct sunlight to slow color fading and do not hang outside.
Moss can be cleaned GENTLY with a duster. Expect a little shedding, but stop if large pieces are being removed.
How Do I Hang My Acrylic Artwork?
Step 1: Choose a level surface and mark the areas for drilling 4 holes. Use painter’s tape to help you align the holes on your art to the holes in the wall.
Step 2: Drill the holes and insert the anchors.
Step 3: Screw the barrels of the standoffs onto the anchors.
Step 4: Now, align the acrylic mount with the barrels on the wall and screw the caps of the standoffs. This will sandwich the sign between the barrels and the caps.
To clean, wipe gently with a dry or damp microfiber towel. Do not use Windex or other glass cleaning products.
Are Your Products Handmade?
Yes! In fact, I try to handmake EVERYTHING, from the frames, to the macrame, etc. Even if it’s drilling a hole in an acrylic sheet, I want to be the one to do it. The sense of pride far outweighs the little tantrums I throw sometimes in the process of creating these pieces.
What’s That Smell?
Out of the box, your moss may have a bit of an earthy scent. It’s going to fade once it’s had some time in the open air. The moss art in my home has zero scent. However, if you’re really sensitive to smells, this may not be for you.
I Damaged My Piece. Now what?
It’s okay! Accidents happen. If you’re local-ish to Denver, I will come repair your piece (fee to be determined after damage assessment). If you’re not local, I will mail you a repair kit with instructions on how to fix it or arrange for it to be shipped back to me for repairs.
I want you to love your moss art for a long time, and I don’t want a drunk friend, curious kid, or rowdy pet get in the way of that!
